Smoky horizon

This was last night's sunset. The first one is taken in regular 'landscape' and the next is with 'night landscape'. Big difference in the two.

Awhile back, Ranchwife thought we should list our simple pleasures - it's good to find things in our day to be thankful for. Wednesdays are going to be my Simple Pleasure Days - so here goes: 1) early morning walks - no one else is around except the birds, horses, dogs, and I 2) humming birds - I love watching them 3) the quiet of the sunrise 4) how great a yard looks after it's mowed and weeded 5) when I hear dh's car pulling in at night 6) that in the USA we are still allowed the freedom to worship Jesus

Until we meet again, make the good Lord take a likin' to ya'!

Both really pretty photos, Countrygirl. What sort of camera do you have? My little Kodak has a 'landscape' setting, which I use a lot for cloud shots, but not a 'night landscape.' Yours makes great photos in both settings.

Thanks, Pat - it's Kodak EasyShare Z740. It works really well, but not for sports and the zoom isn't as far as I'd like. But, oh well...it works for me! Is yours an EasyShare too?

I have a simple little pleasure - I looked out my back window last night and enjoyed Kansas' great harvest moon . . . I will never get tired of seeing a giant orange flaming moon!

Beautiful horizons. What is it about the sky that gives us such pleasure to look at it? It's beautiful in the morning, and beautiful at night. Maybe because it represents a hope of what is to come, one day when we'll see our Savior split it wide open... :)
Loved your list of simple pleasures. It's good to remember those things rather than lament over what we don't enjoy. ;)
Have a great rest of the week!

Loved the post. I may make wednesday my "simple pleasure" post day as well. With all the ugly that is going on in the world I think we may need to try and focus on the good things once in a while.
