Back to work today......

Today was not an anticipated one, it's back to work for me. Now don't get me wrong, I love my job - having summers off, love the kids and the community. But I hate giving up the rest of the summer.

Today we had a big school meeting in town. The one great thing about that is I had lunch with good friends - one whom I haven't seen since May. Most of the stuff didn't apply to us so it was a long day of sitting.

We will have 10 kids with the possibility of 16 this year. Mostly young ones. It should be a fun year.

Another great sunset tonight. Ds and I are back to walking morning and night. He's been running, wants to be up to 5 miles again in a few weeks. I think I will stick with walking! Billy, the 80 pound puppy (German Shepherd) runs with him too - he runs like a Thoroughbred. He'll run back and forth from ds to me.

The hummingbirds are out in full force right now, I can't keep the feeders full. I think we have around 40 but can't be sure. All sizes and kinds. They are so fun to watch but man, are they mean little buggers!

Please keep my dad, Jim, in prayer. He goes in next Monday for his colon removal. He's so upbeat and ready to get this over that I think his recovery will be good. Also please pray for my mom, Annie, as she's a worrier. I am taking off however long I need to so I can be there with her.

God is good!

I have had no hummingbirds in my yard this year, but my daughter, who lives less than 2 miles away, has to keep three feeders. That's the way it goes some times, I guess.

I'll be keeping your dad, his surgeon and caregivers in my prayers. I wish him a speedy recovery. {{Hugs to you}}

Will be praying for your Dad, a complication free surgery and easy recovery. Loved the photos!

abosultely beautiful pics!
Will definitely have you and your parents in prayer...sounds like a pretty complicated surgery.
I love Hummingbirds...my neighbor had one on some flowers a couple of nights ago and I love to watch them. They fascinate me!
