Sunday we skipped church, ran to Idaho to visit a good friend who recently lost her father. DS and his girlfriend wanted to go snowboarding, and this was her only free day between basketball and track. So....we took them to a little resort close to where our friends live. They had a great time, as did we - visiting and just relaxing over pizza and ice cream!
Renting boots for her, this was her real "first" time to snowboard. DS has been teaching her at the golf course, which has a good run but it only has one place to go and no lift.Ready to hit the lifts! She did good, said she was pretty sore.
It was a good day! We seems to spend our days off running for fast trips like this - but it's okay! God blessed us with good friends and time with them is important!

That looked like a total blast!!! I'm sure your sons girlfriend really appreciates having a boyfriend with sweet parents. Coming from a girl who has no relationship with her MIL - I can pretty well bet she does. :) You're a blessed lady!
Looks like you all had a great time! I have yet to try snowboarding....
What fun! I have gone skiing once and I loved it....but not so sure about snowboarding....don't think my bones would hold up. HA

Oh, that looks like so much fun...for the kids of course! My boys would love that snowboarding thing...or at least they think they would. Sounds like a wonderful day with wonderful friends. So happy you got to go. I'm with LeAnna...you and your hubby are a blessing to that sweet girl!
