God is good.

Wow, does our God work in mysterious ways! Well, my sweet dh has been spending a lot of time with our friend B. And it's been healing for them both. B asked dh if he would go with him to the funeral. They went with two other friends. M and R. It was a good service - the mother gave the eulogy and specifically spoke to B - telling him she knew he was going through as much grief as they were - and not to blame himself. That was very hard for him - but soothing too. He's doing better, plus his heart is open to Jesus and dh is witnessing for our Savior.

So after the service, M brings dh home. She starts telling me that she just lost her mother - 2 weeks earlier and she breaks down. I had no idea. She's our friend and close neighbor. Her mother was a mean, hateful lady - because of tragedy in her own life - who made her children's lives miserable. But..........the day before she died (unexpectedly) she called her mom and told her that she loved her and Praise God!!! her mom said it back to her. She's struggling with the fact that her mom is gone and she will never get her approval (and she never did); but she knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that her mom knew she loved her. Please keep her in prayer.

Gigg has been in treatment for over a week now - no adverse effects so far.

My sister was coming here for a craft show Friday and hit into a driver who turned across the highway in front of her. Praise the Lord, neither were hurt - not one of her crafts was broken or damaged. The pickup, on the other hand, was a mess. Thankfully Mom was coming with her - she was in her own vehicle about 50 miles away, she came to where my sister was - they loaded Mom's jeep and away they went. This was her first craft show, she did well - and she makes beautiful stuff. She has a laser engraver. (I will post pictures soon of her art.)

Today, Mom who'd stayed at my sister's last night, was heading home. Thankfully she left later than she'd planned because when she got on the freeway there was a huge multiple car and truck wreck. She had to wait 2 1/2 hours but she was counting her blessings for being safe.

Lastly, dh subbed for the high school Sunday School class yesterday. He was supposed to have 3 -4 kids, and ended up with 18. We had made a study out of the candy cane and thankfully had bought a large jar of them. He felt it went well - the kids told me he was great! They wanted to know when he would be back! That's confirmation to him about a promotion he's being offered - he will work shorter hours - so he can work with the youth again. They call him "the Warden".

So, once again I am brought to tears by how faithful, loving, powerful, and wonderful our God is.

Thanks to you who have prayed. My life depends on prayer. I know that some days would be so much more difficult without those praying for me, and I try to pray when the Holy Spirit prompts me to do so. I need to really listen for that 'still small voice'. He is so faithful to me.......

God Is good...my goodness what trials have surrounded you and the ones you love...Praise the Lord for your consistent faith...Isn't it great to have fellow prayer warriors? I don't know what we'd do without each other to lean on...but that's what the Family of God is supposed to do...be there and encourage each other..be uplifting! I have found that sort of friendship in this blogging world and I'm so very thankful.
What a Blessing for your husband to get this promotion! Congrats to him! Have a wonderful week and enjoy the blessings of the Season!
